While this is Jolie's show, obviously - and she's terrifically arch - the surprising dearth of other compelling characters doesn't offer much distraction when things get off track.. The action flick is overly long, complicated and, even by teen romance standards, cringe-worthy in its cheesiness.. A movie that doesn't quite work as a fantasy or as a subversion of the same..
